If you have concerns about someone else in the university, there is specialist support available both within the university and externally.

It’s important to remember that there are a lot of reasons why someone may choose not to report, only they can decide what is best for them.

If you’re worried about something you have witnessed but you don’t know the people involved, you can make an anonymous report and we can use that information to help make our community safer.

If you’re worried about something you have witnessed or been told about, you can make a referral on behalf of someone else. We can contact them directly, but we won’t discuss any of our contact with them, with you.

If you see something happening that you think needs urgent attention, you can contact the police. You can call them on 999.

If the perpetrator is a member of the University community, you can submit a formal report to the university. The first step to making a formal report is to speak with our Serious Incident Adviser, who will be able to provide you, or the person that you know, with advice and support on what options are available to make an informed decision.
